Who We Are
Women in Philanthropy (WiP) Ghana is a women-led network comprising passionate people and organisations active in philanthropy and social entrepreneurship in Ghana and the diaspora. WiP- Ghana focuses on bringing together women in the sector to connect, learn, collaborate, inspire, and empower other women to increase impact in their communities.
Established through the collaborative vision of leading institutions such as the GADEF International, Centre for Strategic Philanthropy and Social Investment (CESPSI), Philanthropy Ghana, the Sarfoa Foundation, and the Women in Arts, Tourism and Hospitality (WATH) Hub, the network is anchored in a mission to empower women and strengthen their role in philanthropy and social impact. The WiP Ghana secretariat is located at TGTS Africa Ground Floor, East Legon, Accra.
Our mission is to create a community of empowered women in philanthropy and social entrepreneurship, who work together to increase the impact of women-led organisations and improve the lives of women in Ghana. Through strategic partnerships, we aim to build a sustainable fund and network that supports the growth of women-led organisations and provides resources, skills training, and grants to increase their impact in their communities.
We envision a world where women and girls to thrive, reach their full potential, and positively impact their families and communities.
